In such a context, my mother has the opportunity to pick up the dream that has been put on hold for a long time. Her dream was shelved until one day while she was browsing my university’s website, where she found a column called "College of Continuing Education”. It occurred to her that she still owned the ability to study and it wasn’t too late.
My mum’s life was tied to the work and the kitchen sink like all middle-aged women. However, she managed to save time for her study. She redoubled her efforts, plunging into the online study. Two months ago, she quit her job and successfully became an accountant.
Now my mum does volunteer work once a week, and goes to the museum once a month. In the museum, my mother also saw all kinds of people in the society coming to absorb the knowledge of history, which not only enriched her cultural level, but also helped the development of the national literary and artistic industry. She is truly happy. She has not only fulfilled her dream of career, but also met her other needs in Maslow’s hierarchy. Nobody can give her these possibilities.
