Let me start by asking you a question: When you mention the word modernization, what kind of picture comes to mind? I guess many people must think of the tall buildings, the dazzling goods, advanced technology and son on, but let’s not forget that today’s modernization is not only reflected in the material level, but also in the spiritual level of modernization.
In October 2020, at the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, the President Xi summarized five important features of Chinese-style modernization: a huge population, common prosperity for all the people, coordination between material and spiritual civilization, harmonious coexistence between man and nature, and peaceful development.
