范文一:观点对比类——Should College Students Live Alone Off Campus?
There is a heated debate over whether college students should live alone off campus. Some people argue that living off campus is beneficial. They believe it offers more freedom—students can arrange their study and rest time without disturbing others, and it helps cultivate independence in daily life, such as managing rent and household chores.
However, others hold the opposite view. They point out that living off campus may bring practical problems. For one thing, it increases financial burdens, as students have to pay for rent, water and electricity bills. For another, it may reduce opportunities to communicate with classmates, which is not conducive to building friendships and integrating into the campus community.
From my perspective, college students should not rush to live off campus. The campus dormitory is not only a place to live but also a platform for social interaction and mutual learning. Living with roommates helps improve communication skills and teamwork awareness. Unless there are special reasons such as health issues, students should cherish the experience of dormitory life. It is more meaningful to focus on academic growth and interpersonal communication during college.
