The Story of Spider-Man Peter Parker, a science-loving teen living with Uncle Ben and Aunt May in New York, had an extraordinary turn during a radiation lab visit—he was bitten by a radioactive spider. This bite gave him spider-like powers: clinging to walls, super agility and danger-sensing ability. He invented web-shooters with his smarts, making gear to swing between skyscrapers. Yet he once ignored a robber out of pettiness. Tragically, that robber killed Uncle Ben later. Heartbroken, Peter recalled his uncle’s words: “With great power comes great responsibility.” He then made a red-and-blue costume, becoming Spider-Man. Since then, he’s used his powers to fight criminals and super villains alike, devoting himself to protecting New Yorkers while balancing his ordinary life, living up to the responsibility of his powers.
